etia supports Mother Theresa
The two months that Hildegard travelled through India in 1979, proved to be a turning point in her life. She was, like so many others who visited this stunning country, overwhelmed by the beauty, diversity, friendliness and love she encountered.
But she was also immensely shocked by the boundless misery and poverty of which we, living in the Western countries, cannot even in our worst nightmares imagine. She encountered Mother Theresa in Calcutta and spent some time as volunteer for her projects.
The last entry in her diary (February 15th, 1980), still serves as a guide line for her life: “I will learn to open my eyes wider, not only for the beauty, but also for all the needs.”

Elisabeth, too, whilst staying in her own country, The Netherlands, can relate to the same experiences as Hildegard. During some years, she was to be found as volunteer in the Central Station in Utrecht, working with drug addicts. She distributed soup, clean injection needles and prepared meals whilst always being there to listen what was told to her.
When we, nowadays, visit and approve of the most luxurious villas, palaces and castles for our clients, we know that we can offer satisfaction and that our business will thrive. But we cannot and will not forget that there are other human beings on our planet who have no roof above their heads. We are very grateful for the existence of projects and organisations which take care of those people, amongst them many orphan children.
etia is very happy to yearly donate part of the commercial profit for the benefit of those who need a place to live, as well as food, warmth and human love.
We are happy to be in touch with the organisation of Mother Theresa in Calcutta as well as in Europe and we love to give our yearly donation to the following project:
Calcutta Urban Service – CUS - http://www.cus-kolkata.org/w/default.asp

alitara Mahila Samity, a recent project in the slums of Calcutta.
We will be very pleased, if so required, to furnish you with more detailed information hereof.
If you would like to introduce another project which we could support you are more than welcome!
